002-02 — Building a House For God
Published by Jeff, on April 29th, 2001 in 002 Expecting a Blessing.SCRIPTURE: 1 Peter 2:4-5
You and I, weak helpless and struggling people that we are, have the power to be a blessing and a source of joy to the God who Created the entire universe! With this vision-casting message, I launched the key theme of my ministry at NWBC by outlining the kind of church we were going to be and introducing the concept of us being a church “Under Construction” and being built by God into a glorious and wonderful house for himself.

SCRIPTURE: John 14:1-7
Jesus has something utterly unbelievable in store for us when we get to heaven and even before. He made great promises. Our level of anticipation should be through the roof! In this message, I try to encourage you to raise your level of expectation to anticipate the great blessings that are in store for all those who follow Jesus!

Greetings, interesting article. There are a few people who would disagree with you, for starters take Johm MacArthur. He recently opened up his 40 year vault of messages free to the public. He has 100s of messages devoted to the 5 points of Calvinism, which he strongly supports. He also has many messages on a pre-trib rapture, which he also supports. Boice, Barnhouse, Lutzer, etc. are just a few of the well known preachers who are 5 point and pre-trib. S. Lewis Johnson, considered by some the greatest exposito of the 20th century, was also Calvinistic and believed in the rapture. So, there are a few men who have studied the scriptures far more than you and I who came to a different conclusion.
